The monitor is connected at its input to a High Voltage AC Bus. It senses the level of the input voltage and switches on a NO contact signal and switches off a NC contact when the voltage is within normal range. When an over or under-voltage condition occurs, the state of the two contacts are reversed. The configuration of the two contacts is SPDT, that is the two contacts have common elctrode.

Operations
  • The over-voltage set point is factory set such that on a rising voltage the NO contact opens for: 254 Vac < Vac high < 266 Vac
  • Over the operating temperature range and throughout the useful operating life of the product the set point will be: 245 Vac < Vac high < 275 Vac
  • The over-voltage circuit time constant is 125 ms, nominal. The subsequent delay introduced by the relay is less than 5 ms. On a falling voltage the NO contact will close for an input voltage approximately 8 Vac lower than the rising voltage trigger point. The reset level will be factory tested to be greater than 244 Vac.
  • The under-voltage reset level is factory set such that on a rising voltage the NO contact closes for: 169 Vac < Vac high < 177 Vdc
  • Over the operating temperature range and throughout the useful operating life of the product the set point will be: 164 Vac < Vac high < 182 Vdc
  • The under-voltage circuit time constant is 125 ms, nominal. The subsequent delay introduced by the relay is less than 5 ms. On a falling voltage the NO contact will open for an input voltage approximately 6 Vac lower than the rising voltage trigger point. The set point will be factory tested to be greater than 161 Vac.
  • There is one SPDT relay contacts. The contacts rating is 0.5 A resistive at 50 Vdc and is connected between the terminals labeled " 1 " (COM), " 2 " (NO) and " 3 " (NC).

Input: The High Voltage AC bus is to be applied between the terminals marked Vac.

Maximum continuous voltage range for proper operation: 0 Vac < Vac high < 368 Vac

Transient input voltage: +/- 3000 V for 1 ms.

The monitor may be subjected, without damage, to a continuous input voltage of 480 Vac.

Low Voltage DC Bus

Output: The contact are operated to open and close a 37 Vdc bus.
